Dear Buyer

Our family bought this home in 2016 when our two sons were 4 years old and 18 months. This is the home they have grown up in over the last six years and it has been perfect for fostering happy childhoods.

The house and neighborhood offer comfort and opportunities for every season. In the winter, we snuggle up by the cozy fireplace in the living room after days spent ice-skating on the frozen pond down the street. In the spring, our garden is in full bloom and we begin eating our dinners on the back deck – a practice that extends from May through October. In the summer, we walk to get ice cream at Stewarts or sit outside and eat on the patio at Cafe Madison just a few blocks away. The autumn brings back yard birthday parties and a huge turnout for Halloween trick-or-treating.

Our children attend the city’s public schools, as do all of the children on the block, which means they have a cohort of friends who are neighbors and classmates. The children ride their bikes to the Buckingham pond playground or organize lemonade stands on the sidewalk. They love playing outdoors in our spacious, tree-lined yard. We even made them a small paved basketball court when we put down the new driveway. We are within walking distance from the Pine Hills branch of the library, which means we always have a new book to read.

The house is spacious enough that each of our children have their own bedroom as well as a playroom in the finished portion of our basement. This area has been great for exercising, playing video games, or as a Lego construction zone. We have plenty of storage between the full-sized attic and an unfinished portion of the basement. The laundry room is directly off of the kitchen, which has meant that we can always run a load while we’re cooking or throw dirty clothes in the washer as soon as a muddy garment enters the house. The master bedroom is the length of the house which gives us lots of extra space. We also converted a second deck into a heated sunroom in 2019, which became a home office when the pandemic necessitated working from home. The floors in the bathrooms and kitchen are all heated, which is a pleasure during the cold winter months.

We will miss the friends we have made in this neighborhood, the regular gatherings around the backyard fire pits, and the annual block party. We hope that you will create as many happy memories in this house as we have.

Warm regards,

The Weavers
